Entrepreneur Development  Programme

Objective

            In order to reduce the improverished conditions of Adi Dravidar People financial  assistance is provided to start various business activities in the age group 18 and 65 irrespective of their educational qualification. This scheme can be accessed both by individuals and Self help groups.

Subsidy

30% of the Project cost or Rs.2.25 lakhs whichever is lower.  The subsidy will be a Front End Subsidy.

Eligibility

  • The applicant should belong to Scheduled Caste.
  • The annual family income of the applicant should not exceed Rs.3.00 lakh.
  • The applicant should be in the age group of 18 to 65.
  • The applicant should have prior experience in the trade applied.
  • The Applicant and their family members should not have availed any subsidy so far.

Conditions

  • Applicants themselves can select the trade.
  • The Assets created under the scheme shall be registered only in the name of the applicant.

Fast Track Power Supply Scheme

Objective

  • The scheme to provide financial assistance to Adi Dravidar and Scheduled Tribe farmers towards electricity connection charges to TANGEDCO for getting Fast Track Power Supply was introduced in the year 2008-2009.

The amount of assistance provided under this scheme i.e Rs.75,000/- has been enhanced from the year 2021-2022 as below:-

  • The outstanding Partial Deposit amount of Rs.5.35 crore payable in respect of 827 beneficiaries has been deposited to TANGEDCO and the connections were given in the financial year 2021-2022
  • Further, steps are being taken to provide free electricity connection by paying 90% deposit on behalf of 1,000 Adi Dravidar and Scheduled Tribe farmers.
  • A total of Rs.28.65 crore has been spent for the benefit of 1,827 farmers under this scheme.

Land Purchase Scheme

Objective :

            Since the ownership of land provides dignity in society, the State Government introduced the scheme in the year 2004 – 05 to purchase land in the name of Adi Dravidar women to empower them.

Preference will be given to women belonging to the Scheduled caste. Non availability of women in that family, priority given to husband or sons.

The salient features of this scheme are:

  • Title Deeds are registered in the name of Adi Dravidar beneficiary.
  • Exemption of 100% stamp duty and registration fees to the land value.
  • Seller should be a non Adi Dravidar/non Tribal.
  • Land should be purchased from other than SC/ST.

Eligibility

  • The Applicant shall be a Scheduled Caste Women.
  • The applicant should be in the age group of 18 – 65.
  • The annual family income of the applicant should not exceed Rs.3.00 lakh.
  • The Applicant should not own any agricultural land.
  • The occupation of the Applicant should be agriculture.
  • Applicants and their family members should not have availed any subsidy so far.

Conditions

  • Applicants themselves should select the land to be purchased.
  • The lands have to be purchased from the land owners who do not belong to Schedule Caste.
  • The land purchased shall be registered only in the name of applicant.
  • The land purchased shall not be sold out within twenty years.
  • The applicant who has the land registered in their name can alone take up land development activities.
  • The land development activities of digging of open well, bore well and electrification of pump sets shall be taken up as per the NABARD guidelines.
  • The feasibility certificate shall be obtained from geologist in respect of digging of open well / bore well.
  • The applicant and the family members should not have sold / transferred their lands to others in the last 5 years.

 

Land Development Scheme

The aim of the scheme is to enhance the utilization of land as well as to generate income by providing subsidy with loan assistance from banks for irrigation facilities like sinking of bore wells / open wells, pumpsets, drip irrigation and sprinkler irrigation. Since 2013 – 14 the land owners of Adi Dravidar community are availing benefit under the scheme.

Self Employment Programm for Youth

Objective :

Financial assistance is provided to the educated un-employed youth in the age group between 18 and 45, who desire to establish their own profession or business enterprises.

Subsidy

30% of the project cost or Rs.2.25 lakhs whichever is lower. The subsidy will be a Front End Subsidy.

Eligiblity

  • The applicant should belong to Scheduled Caste.
  • The annual family income of the applicant should not exceed Rs.3.00 lakh.
  • The applicant should be in the age group of 18 -45.
  • The applicant should have prior experience in the trade applied.
  • The Applicant and their family members should not have availed any subsidy so far.
  • The applicant should posses’ eligibility certificate issued by recognized institutions

Conditions

  • Applicants themselves can select the trade.
  • The assets created under the scheme shall be registered only in the name of the applicant.
  • The applicant shall carryout the business in the district where subsidy is sanctioned.

Setting up  of Clinic by yond Doctors (SEPYc)

Objective :

            Under this scheme, financial assistance is provided to those who establish their own Clinic/ Lab / Medical Stores in the fields of Allopathy (MBBS), Dental (BDS), Siddha (BSMS), Ayurvedic (BAMS) Naturopathy and Yoga (BNYS). From the year 2013 – 14, this scheme was extended to the persons qualified in paramedical disciplines such as, physiotherapy, pharmacy, ophthalmology and lab technology to setup Clinics / Medical stores and Labs. The applicants should have already been registered with council concerned.

Subsidy

30% of the project cost or Rs.2.25 lakhs whichever is lower. The subsidy will be a Front End Subsidy.

Eligiblity

  • To establish clinic, the applicant should have MBBS/BSMS/BDS degree.
  • The applicant and their family members should not have availed any subsidy under TAHDCO schemes.
  • The applicant should register his / her name in the Indian Medical Council.
  • The annual family income of the applicant should not exceed Rs.3.00 lakh.

Revolving Fund and Economic Assistance to Self help Groups

Objective :

In order to promote the economic empowerment of Adi Dravidar Self Help Group members, financial assistance with low cost interest is provided to invest in the income generating programme. Adi Dravidar Self Help Group which have been accredited twice can avail the loan for income generating economic activities. A maximum of 50% of the project cost or Rs.2.50 lakh whichever is less is sanctioned as subsidy to the Self Help Groups to establish profession or business enterprises known to them.

Conditions

  • The self help group members should belong to Scheduled Caste.
  • The annual family income of the applicant should not exceed Rs.3.00 lakh
  • The applicant should be in the age group of 18 -65.
  • The Group members are include min 12 members or maximum 20 members.
  • The Applicant and their family members should not have availed any subsidy so far.
  • To prior the revolving fund availed groups.

Purchase of motor for Agriculture

            Under the scheme Adi Dravidars and Scheduled Tribe farmers having bore well proposing to install electric motor can avail a subsidy of Rs. 10,000/- as a support for improving the irrigation facility of such farmers.

Fixing pipe lines for Irrigation

Under the scheme Adi Dravidars and Scheduled Tribe farmers having bore well proposing to install PVC pipe line can avail a subsidy 50% of the cost or Rs. 15,000/- which ever is less as a support for improving the irrigation facility of such farmers.

Skill Development Training

Objective :

            To improve the quality of life of Adi Dravidar and Tribal students and educated unemployed youth through TAHDCO through various vocational skill development trainings with employment.

Activities

Through TAHDCO, from 2007-08 to 2021-22, 134,495 Adi Dravidar & Tribal students were provided skill development training with a view to improving their livelihood through various training institutes.

Qualification Framework (NSQF) subject programs through training institutes to impart skill development training to improve their livelihoods.

45301 students have been given employment out of those trained by TAHDCO. 750 individuals have applied for the loan scheme on the TAHDCO website, allowing students who have been trained in the last two years to benefit from the Self-Employment Subsidy Loan Scheme implemented by TAHDCO.

Current schemes implemented by TAHDCO

`From the current year 2022-23, skill development trainings along with degree with job opportunities are being implemented by TADHCO.

Eligiblity

  • Must be Adi Dravidar / Tribal students.
  • Must have passed + 2 in 2021 and 2022.
  • Must have secured more than 60 percent marks in aggregate (in Business Mathematics, Mathematics, Chemistry subjects).

Mode of Selection

  • Online registration should be done on TAHDCO platform.
  • Must have passed the qualifying examination conducted by HCL.
  • Interview will be conducted for those who pass the above test.
  • Training for this exam will be provided by TADHCO through T.I.M.E Institute.
  • For students who are successful in the coaching for the entrance exam, HCL Institute will provide an annual income of Rs. 10.00 lakhs to Rs.15.00 lakhs and offer employment with 3 year and 4 year degree program in collaboration with three universities.(BITS PILANI, AMITY UNIVERSITY & SASTRA UNIVERSITY)

Similar to the above programs, various trainings with employment will be provided by TAHDCO.
